The Taylors in Vicksburg sent me some new exterior photos of their home, which I designed in 2001-2002. It is one of my favorite homes all around, and it is especially strong in terms of siting and planning for landscaping around a building in a natural setting. The owners have done an awesome job with the plant materials and compositions. We worked hard to completely integrate the building massing and layout into the landscape, and to let the plant materials complete the architecture.

This is one of the better portfolio photos I have taken in a while. I continue to get good stuff out of my first digital camera from years ago, which is pretty beat up now, but I am familiar with it and I feel like I have a good eye with it. It shoots a little wider than what I see through the viewfinder but I have used it so much that I know how to correct for that. This house is entered in some design competitions in Mississippi, maybe I will win something. I have not made enough time for design competition submittals in the past.
